EU/UK/NZ/AUS variants meet the intent of Directive 89/336/EEC for Electromagnetic compatibility and the Low voltage directive 73/23/EEC for product safety and the R&TTE directive 1999/5/EC for radio. Compliance was demonstrated to the following specifications as listed in the official journal of the European Communities. The transmitter has additionally been designed to meet the requirements of the ATEX directive 94/9/EC for potentially explosive atmospheres (note that the product is not certified as ATEX approved unless specifically required and ordered as such).
